Principal Consultant
David Schrager is a Principal Consultant at VB Risk Advisory with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, holding a variety of quantitative and senior management roles. Throughout his career, David has been part of culturally diverse teams, fueling his passion for mentoring young professionals and guiding them to discover their personal and professional purposes.
David’s expertise spans the design and implementation of internal models for valuation and hedging of complex structured products, insurance liabilities, and economic capital. He has also led (longevity) hedge programs, pricing and structuring of retirement savings products, and strategic de-risking projects, including mergers and acquisitions. His ability to balance complex financial strategies with clear execution ensures impactful results for his clients.
David holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from the University of Amsterdam and remains actively involved in academic research as a member of the advisory board of the Amsterdam School of Economics.
Outside of work, David dedicates his time to his wife and two children, finding balance through cycling and gym workouts.
